From Leprosy to a quality handicraft producer
Babu Lal has a new life, all thanks to the skill set provided by New Sadle
Babulal got infected with leprosy in the year 1992 and joined New SADLE in the same year. He was referred about New SADLE by a German citizen while being treated at Anandaban hospital. His elder brother and sister were also infected with leprosy. So, he started taking medicine in time and saved from being seriously affected with leprosy.
He is married to Sumitra Satar who also works in the tailoring section at New SADLE. They have a son and a daughter and currently studying at Lovely Angels School promoted by New SADLE group. He is happy to work here and earn a decent living for himself and his family.
He is now working as a supervisor in the sewing department. He has managed to keep his family afloat thanks to all the necessary treatment and training by New Sadle. He has the necessary skills to work and earn a decent living and he chooses to work here at New Sadle because he is grateful for the what his organisation has done for him and wants to continue working and produce handicrafts made in Nepal.
