The moments here working with all the girls always makes me feel that I am empowered. I’ve learned from scratch and now I know I can do a lot more. Taking tailoring training has not only boosted my lifestyle but it has reduced by pet peeves a lot. This training is more than just a tailoring training, for us, it’s about knowing what we can do, to what extent we’re able to do and combining all the knowledge we get from this whole training was very practical for us. My family used to have a lot of financial problems when I was a small girl, the situation we lived in was harsh but now that I know I am doing something and that I don’t have to ask people for any financial aids it feels as if my life has taken a good turn.

In response to the recent earthquake in Nepal in 2015, SAATH has started a livelihood and entrepreneurship program.
The program enrolls girls who have been affected by the earthquake. We provide employment opportunity to them to make them more independent as well as secure their livelihood. We have been providing them a platform to enhance their tailoring skills. The produced goods will be sold at local and international market to raise fund to support the education of children who have been affected by the earthquake.
