Tulasa Limbu from Taplejung, Nepal

Tulasa Limbu is originally from Taplejung. She came to Kathmandu with her friends to earn a living. She came here 25 years ago and learned how to weave the carpet at her aunt’s carpet factory. She worked in different carpet factories for 3 years and then found work at New SADLE and has been working since 1996. She was provided land at a subsidized price for her family to settle down. She loves to hang out with her friend and have a good time during her free time.

Sumitra Satar from Pharping, Nepal

Sumitra Satar 34-year-old lady is originally from Pharping which is a small town on the south side of Kathmandu. She got training in weaving, tailoring and batik painting in Kumbeshwor Technical School in Patan. She has been working here since 2001. She came here started working and also found the love of her life, got married and also has 2 children. She is very happy that she came here to work here. She gained new skills and now she wants to work hard for her children’s education and a better life.
